Thirty-four

I heard myself say my age outloud recently and it kinda took me aback. I know it's all relative, but WOW, I think I'm kinda starting to sound old. In my head I think I'm still 17 but with all the added years of wisdom. Okay I can pretend I've become wiser can't I? At least more experienced.

My dear EH bought me a honey pot from Etsy for a gift (Bridgeman Pottery). I delight in seeing that little pot! The softly painted fern matches the one on a container my SIL once gave me. I think it will be one of those treasures I'm still using when I'm 80 and serving tea.

Side Note: This shop sells the most darling berry washing bowl ever! She just always seems to be out of them when I take a look in her shop. You can take a peek at them here. Maybe she'll have some instock by the time the raspberry bushes I just planted start to produce.

Movies to love

These are my current favorite DVDs.

Persuasion is a Jane Austin story (almost surpassing my love for Pride & Prejudice), Sweet Land I bought with out even seeing it because two people who have my style nailed said I would love it (and I did!). The middle one there, Pilates for Dummies, maybe not so much my favorite but I look at it often enough with good intensions and that's about it.

Glass bottles

I have been read reviews trying to figure out what type of "healthy" bottles to replace my plastic ones with. After drooling over all the super adorable ones I ended up ordering the cheap Evenflo glass bottles. As I placed the order I felt bummed not to get the ones with the cute bug designs or neat rubber covers. Sigh . . . But, as I pulled my Evenflo from the box (thank you amazon.com) I fell in love with their simplicity. The bottles have embossed measuring markers on the sides and they really are so very lovely!

Now hopefully I can find replacement nipples for them as LE won't stand for the silicone ones that came with them. As a side note, I found out that the Medela plastic bags that I store my milk in don't contain BPA so I can still use my drop-in bottles with the latex nipples.

E-bay success

I won it on E-bay! I've been in search of a new nursing pillow as my last one bit the dust. I've been watching and bidding on a certain type of pillow all week with no success. Supposedly this pillow is better than the Boppy because it provides back support and has added head support for the baby (though I have no experience with the Boppy to verify this). I love the organic grain filled pillows over at Blessed Nest but concluded that it was just out of the budget. So now I feel great about having stayed in the budget I set for myself, I'm reusing a product rather than always buying new and I got to support an Army wife!

Girly reading chart

I can't stand how darn CUTE this reading chart is! Necessary Chocolate made it and has it available to download for free on her blog. I really haven't done as much reading as I'd like to this summer and don't anticipate that to change but I just like looking at the little graphic of the girl in her hammock reading a book. Such a delight!
