Family, homeschool, a little about crunchy living and things loved from an introvert who finally found a way to communicate what's going on inside her head.

Thirty-four
I heard myself say my age outloud recently and it kinda took me aback. I know it's all relative, but WOW, I think I'm kinda starting to sound old. In my head I think I'm still 17 but with all the added years of wisdom. Okay I can pretend I've become wiser can't I? At least more experienced.
My dear EH bought me a honey pot from Etsy for a gift (Bridgeman Pottery). I delight in seeing that little pot! The softly painted fern matches the one on a container my SIL once gave me. I think it will be one of those treasures I'm still using when I'm 80 and serving tea.
Side Note: This shop sells the most darling berry washing bowl ever! She just always seems to be out of them when I take a look in her shop. You can take a peek at them here. Maybe she'll have some instock by the time the raspberry bushes I just planted start to produce.

LE Babe @ 10 months
Clap your hands
That I can see your sweet dimpled elbows and soft skin in your summer T-shirts and shorts
That you cruise up the stairs unafraid
That you crawl around the house with a stuffed squeaky mouse dangling from your mouth
The way you spit out your nuk when it's time to nurse
The way you bounce up and down when you see Papa
That you're a chow hound eating: pizza, crackers, string cheese . . .
The way you light up when you see me
Those blond curly locks behind your ears that get tighter in the humidity
The way you can say "more" in sign language
The way you think drinking from a cup is dessert
That smile!

Woman's Night Out
Who: Any woman who's reading this
What: Woman's movie night (Pride & Prejudice)
Where: My place (I'll give more info if you need it)
When: Next Wednesday, June 24th , 8PM-10PM (give me a heads up if you can but it can totally be a last minute thing)
I'll provide popcorn, water, & chocolate. Just bring your sparkling personality (or frazzled). I may be inspired to stitch as I watch so feel free to bring something to busy your hands if you like.
BONUS: Come a little early (6:45) and you can get a free Mary Kay makeover. I have a friend who is building her "before" and "after" portfolio.
Now the WHY: Cause I like being with friends but I'm a hermit and don't always like to leave my home. Plus I have a nursing baby and I consider pumping a hassle. I'd like to do this monthly, we'll see if I pull it off.
WARNING: I don't plan to do a major house cleaning or go into "freak out companies coming" mode. We'll see what happens 60 min before you get here though. Please come, I'd love to curl up on the couch with you and watch a chick flick. Other movies I'm thinking of for other nights: Persuasion, Sweet Land, Roman Holiday, etc.
Why the picture? Cause he's just so darn cute!

Snuggle reading
With AWANA over, Ebug and I haven't had "our night" together where we hang out at home and set puzzles. I think we both miss it. Today instead of calling Agent H and his buddy over to read with Ebug and I for story time, I climbed on the couch next to him and just the two of us read. Not even LE Babe was around. The part I liked the most was when Ebug said "come closer mama" until our legs were glued next to each other, his hazel eyes were warm and inviting.
